    I've got a Beatstep Pro and Launchpad Pro MKIII here, both sync with Bitwig quite well, but you have to create a Control Surface port for them. Bitwig actually does this slightly better than Digital Performer.

    Having the daw just send MIDI clock via usb MIDI to the MIDI interface is not working, it needs to be more accurate. The daw can take care of latency if I am just playing MIDI notes, but when I want the daw to play nicely in sync with external hardware that needs MIDI clock it gets ugly fast. So I got a new macbook m1 pro for the studio and want to have my daw (bitwig) as a master to sync VST insruments and stuff ITB with external MIDI hardware such as drum machines, external sequencers, effects boxes and synths that need MIDI clock for syncing lfos and delays, etc. I have been mostly hardware based but have recently been trying to set up a hybrid system (daw is just so convenient).
